This is our second home we have built in the last 5 years and I am pretty certain our last! We are hoping we have built the perfect house this time after learning what was wrong with the first house. Most people may find this completely boring but some friends and family who may be interested in checking out our building progress or anyone who is building or thinking about building might find it interesting.

Spent a good hour or two reading through your blog from start to finish! The house is looking FANTASTIC! I commend you on building such a huge house (with an even bigger price tag I presume)! We built the Atlantique 36 Mk2 (37) and it took roughly 4 1/2 to 5 months.. if your Metro 53 can be finished in roughly the same timeframe, Carlisle have done a seriously good job with your house. The colours, the variations, the plans all look awesome.
ReplyDeleteAre the side and rear bricks going to be rendered as well? They look pretty neatly done.. usually the areas to be rendered are done less neatly. But nevertheless, that brick colour looks good.
And the front entry way - you know that tall timber feature (book shelf looking) wall? What have you got in your entry in lieu of this wall?
